Ok, so networking...networking can be fun!!!
Usually us wedding pros get together at a soirre, gala, ball, party, mixer, whatever you want to call it, and we network.
Well a dear friend of mine, who also happens to be this months featured wedding professional, David Ethridge of A Video Reflection (http://www.avideoreflection.net/ ), came up with the BEST networking idea...
D&G Go Kart BBQ!!!! (David Ethridge and Geoff White). Hopefully this will be an annual event!
He invited myself, Geoff White (http://www.geoffwhite.com/), John (http://www.enhancedlighting.com/), Rich (http://www.heymrdj.com/ ), Crystal (http://www.amazaespecialevents.com/), Michelle (http://www.mbweddingdesigns.com/), Duncan (http://www.duncanreyes.com/), John & Linnea (http://www.asieldesign.com/), and me, to Go Kart!!!
First of all I'd like to say that Dave's idea was wonderful, considering that he is a Videographer and there were four event planners invited to this networking event, we didn't come up with the idea, and we hardly helped implement it, it was all Dave!
Not only did we get the chance to kick a little butt, but we also got the chance to get to know one another better=)
The top four racers out of ten were:
Geoff White of Geoff White Photography in 1st
David Ethridge of A Video Reflection in 2nd
Rich Amooi of Hey Mr. DJ in 3rd
and our fastest girl! Linnea Gomez of Asiel Design in 4th!!!!
After our race we went back to Geoff and Lara White, of Geoff White Photography's house http://www.geoffwhite.com/ (thank you guys for hosting!) and had a wonderful BBQ. Geoff and Lara provided the amazing hors d'oeuvres, and David Ethridge BBQ'd salmon caught in Alaska and tri-tip. John Senior (John with Asiel Design's Father) made some awesome ribs which Dave also BBQ'd=), Thanks for the good food you guys!
